Odisha Signs MoUs Worth ₹23,389 Crore with 11 Companies
The Odisha government has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 11 companies for projects in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh districts, amounting to an investment of ₹23,389 crore. The agreements include pacts with Ind Barath Energy Utkal for an 800-MW ultra supercritical coal-based thermal power plant in Jharsuguda, and Epsilon Carbon's proposed investment of ₹10,000 crore for a unit in the integrated carbon complex (ICC) in Jharsuguda. The MoUs were signed during the Enterprise Odisha Summit at Jharsuguda, reflecting the state's attractiveness for industrial development.
