Mammoet Supports Assembly of Nexus Leiden’s Shell Structure

Mammoet
Located in the Leiden Bio Science Park West in the Netherlands, Nexus Leiden comprises 9,100 m² across four large floors, housing state-of-the-art laboratories and offices that support the critical work of life science, health, and pharmaceutical companies.

With the construction site nestled within a busy science park, modular construction techniques were employed to minimise the project timeline, site footprint, and on-site disruption. Working closely with the project’s main contractor, Dura Vermeer Bouw Zuid West, and concrete supplier Holcon BV, Mammoet supported the assembly of the building’s shell structure, which was constructed using precast concrete and steel.

In addition to the floor slabs and structural connections required for concrete pouring, a central steel staircase structure for the atrium also needed to be installed.
